2 Militants killed in ongoing Pulwama Encounter, arms and Ammunition recovered

Awantipora encounter update: 02 terrorists killed have been Identified as :

Irfan Amin Digo @ Abu Zara of Naina Batpora Pulwama & Tasaduq Amin Shah of Kadlabal Pampore and were associated with Lashkar Toiba. Arms and Ammunition were recovered from their Custody.

Encounter between militants and Army occured in Braw bandina area of Awantipora in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday morning.

Reports reaching said that a joint team of Army's 55RR, SOG Pulwama and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Braw bandina area.

A senior police officer told that it was a specific information about the presence of some militants in the area.

Officer further said that while the forces zeroed towards the suspected spot where militants were hiding, the militants opened fire on the forces triggering an encounter.

As per the sources two to three militants were believed to be trapped in the area.
